Cup Runneth Over

Oh. Whoops. That's right. I have a blog... [insert guilty look here].  Thank you for sticking around. [insert most grateful look here].

This is just a quickie... I wore this on Melbourne Cup Day (Nov 1st)... at work J ... I have a lot to share but whether or not I ever get around to sharing it, I don't know. I am a most mercurial blogger.  Anyway, I'm busy.  LOVE it.  Love you.  Really I do.

This dress... although I love it and it's divine, etc, etc... well, it's not quite me and I consider this ultra conservative.
Wouldn't you know it... I got a million compliments from colleagues and strangers.
More than I ever receive when I'm dressed like a rainbow on acid.

So... when I dress least like myself is when people find me approachable.
I don't like that.
I have a real problem with the concept of tribes... I don't actually belong in/to/with one.  And when it starts looking like I'm getting comfortable or god forbid, fitting in... regardless of how freakin' cool that tribe is... something happens to me and I... need to get out.
I think this is what has happened to me here, in the blogosphere... much to my dismay.
...because I have deliberately lost bloggers I like...

Oh my god glorious Dusk!!! Have you taken up residence in my brain? Your words resonate with me so well, I always feel the same way when people tell me I "look nice" if I'm wearing something a bit ho-hum. However I must say the belt buckle and the plunging neckline on your amazing bod is a winner!! But I too feel that if I'm conforming, I "need to get out". It's like I feel an invisible rash forming and I must get back to being myself to make it go away. Are we twins? xoxoxoxo

Oh! You carry everything you wear so well......I think you're approachable even when you are at your whackiest best! :)

Will wait for when you feel you've broken the shackles of the blog.....maybe you'll come back more often then! :))

P.S.: Like the bangle!

Oooh, it's gorgeous! I think it's nice to change up your style once in a while although I have to say I love the "rainbow on acid" Dusk! But you would look amazing in ANYTHING.

You couldn't shake me away. But I get it- I don't like belonging to A single tribe either. I don't feel like I fit in, and don't like trying. I like people to like me whether or not I am part of their tribe.

But you look fab- you have a rockin' figure and this dress showcases it. What I love is the hat- which is wild and fun. Like you. Perhaps you are more approachable in this dress- or relatable or whatever. I don't know.
I haven't seen you in an outfit I didn't like.

Wishing you a wonderful week. And don't feel guilty about "abandoning" the bloggershere- you living fully in real life is what makes your posts so dynamic!
