Oh the irony...

Watched 'IronMan 2' tonight. Have I ever mentioned that I am a comic book freak from way back? As in, I used to collect comics and would still collect comics if I didn't have to grow up (...and maybe I still do so maybe I haven't...) and am a big, HUGE, superhero character fan. DC mostly but Marvel too. WW mainly but the others as well.
Also Indian religious fables, epics, mythology comics. These were so great! Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Mogul Queens. Holy Epics of Indian history. Such a fabulous way for children to absorb!

I used to read IronMan and very much enjoyed 'IronMan' the movie and Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark/IronMan is just... just... ... [faint]... ...[thud]...
Anyway I digress and regress also. Comic books and RDJ as Stark and Sherlock with his shirt off [faint] [thud] [see?] do that to me. DO NOT start me on Christian Bale as Batm....[THUD]. Liam Neeson as anything. Please catch me.

Loved 'IronMan'! 'IronMan 2'? Hmmm... all I will say about the movie is that the lead character's integral problem is the irony here...

As is this all-black ensemble against a rainbow background. Black is the absence of colour. Irony is defined as the incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs... also known as a woman's prerogative. Yes?

Oh now I'm intrigued. I used to be a big comic book fan and I'm still a huge fan of the movie renditions (I so hear you on Christian Bale as Batman). LOVED Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr is the best), and have been looking forward to Iron Man 2 for a while... going to see it this weekend, so we'll see how I enjoy that.

Fantastic all-black outfit with a fab belt! Great blog by the way :)

Amar Chitra Katha all the way! I know every single 'story', piece of history in illustrations thanks to those books. And Jataka Tales, all of Budhha's teachings and past life lessons. I adored these as a kid. I realise now how valuable they were at such an impressionable age :)

Hello lovelies...

@ Sonali - Scarlett is just luscious in this movie! When I first heard that she was playing the Black Widow I thought "huh? no way!" but she's good. Lethal. Not just her curves!

I will have to take a better pic of that belt, it's one belt with leather strap in back and 3 chains in front. A vintage treasure I found for Aus$5!

I've liked RDJ since he was a superfluous baddie in 'Weird Science'! LOved him in 'Heart and Souls'! And when he and SJP were a hot couple! His addictive personality I loathe.

Thank you akaCola and my Sassy VintOb!
....and Sassy, watchu talkin' about ladki? Every bloody post of yours you have your sexy impish grin reeling them in!

Thank you Haute World! ... I hope you do enjoy 'IronMan 2', come back and let me know what you think and then I'll explain what I mean. I don't want to say too much right now while the movie is still 'fresh'!

@ Republic...... yes! Amar Chitra Katha!!! I too absolutely loved them! I would make my friends -non-Indians too- dress up and reenact these stories! They were so beautifull drawn. A wonderful and clever way to teach history.

Thanks for coming by hon, hope to see you again!

@ Tanvi...do let me know hon, don't get me wrong, it is a good movie but... 'IronMan' was a great movie. Not on epic 'Gandhi' scale but great nevertheless.

I'm going to watch IronMan 2 today with my boys. I am hoping it's as fabulous as the 1. But... oh well, I'm still watching it. Hahaha! My boys will kill me if I don't go.

I love the all-black ensemble... you can rock any color and still look so fabulous Dusk. I think it's the aura.

Have a great day! xoxo

PS... it'll be a very busy weekend for me so if I don't drop by often, I hope you'll understand. I have wedding shoots the whole weekend and Monday, I'll be leaving for US.

Love, love the ensemble! All black is great for winter (coming closer and closer here in Australia)...
Yes I've heard Iron Man 2 isn't as great as Iron Man. I mean, are sequels ever as good as their predecessors? With the exception of Terminator 2, of course...
Thanks so, so much for your sweet comments! There's an award waiting for you at my almost, almost back-to-normal blog! :)

Hello lovelies!

Thank you for all your wonderful comments and hope those that saw the movie enjoyed it.
Don't get me wrong, I did too but as I said in the post;
"...the lead character's integral problem is the irony here"

....I meant it had a problem with its heart. It lacked it.
They do this with sequels all the time, have a winner with the first then overdo it with the next. Anyway, it's fun, it's not life changing philosophy so... :)

@ Romany...thank you darling!! Will be posting and passing the awards on soon!

Thank you again lovelies!
