Sydney Fashion Festival Pt 2:

'Colours of Summer'... so I wore black* (after the jump).   Yeah.  I know.  Me. The Rainbow Wore-ier...

Went with some of my Womanistas... twas a great girlie night, another gorgeous parade, with some gorgeous pieces, will upload some of my images and link to an album later... in the meantime, go check out the professional pics here.

Oh.  I simply must share this with you.  The Christopher Kane Resort 2011 collection just thrills the space cadet in me!!   And these wonderful pieces by Australian jewellery label Drown are heavenly!

wearing:
vintage 'mermaid' skirt * pleated & ruffled chiffon shirt * purple suede silver studded wedge booties * knuckle ring, amethyst thumb ring, silver dusted gold thumb ring * Indian bangles * purple & gold thread woven earrings * purple shimmer eyeshadow over red & gold glitter eye creme... will have to do close-up pics of this... I love this look, my eyes look like nebulae...

*I had a seriously crazy wardrobe 'crisis' today.  I never have a wardrobe crisis.  On a daily basis I dress spontaneously according to colour mood [if you're a regular visitor you know what I mean, if you're new... don't worry, I'm kinda kooky but hey! Welcome!] but for night events, dinners, etc anything pre-planned, I usually have 4 outfit ensembles tried on, approved and 'ready' and wear whatever fits my mood at that time.  Saves a lot of time getting dressed on the day.

...what I ended up wearing was not one of my 4.  It was crazy!  I seriously had a "I don't have anything to wear" moment.  Okay minutes.   Dammit.    HOURS.  I think the planets were all out of whack or something!  My darling husband dared suggest I may be premenstrual....

"WHAT???  What do you MEAN????  I am NOT premenstrual OKAYYYYYY?????  Oh.  hmmm.  Yes I see what you mean... "

I like the outfit you finally went with. I often have this dilemma when getting dressed to go out for the evening. Suddenly everything in my closet is hideous, ill-fitting, & totally inappropriate. My husband always tells me I should plan ahead & I never listen to him. ;)

The boots are fabulous.

Hahaha!!! Oh well ... every one is allowed one day to have 'wardrobe crisis' ... but hey!! that means you have met your limit :)

You look lovely. The third shot in the top row is my favorite. How'd you take it? With hair flying so perfectly and proportionately? Amazing! Love the black and blue combination too!

I love your outfit here, and those shoes are just amazing. I love your style- even in mostly black it doesn't look boring at all.

I'm totally loving the black outfit with the violet flashes, just soooo chic and so different from your usual riot of colour. Bet you got all the attention.
I had a black day on friday, it's quite liberating! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

First of, you look great. No signs of the preceding wardrobe crisis moments..oops hours I mean! :)

I checked Drown and the other one...very astronautical collection...literally out of this world kinds. I'd love to try one of those dresses sometime.

Haha and PMS. It's been draining me these days. I'm waiting for the 'pre' to wean off and waiting waiting for the boring days but sigh! Like SIGH UGGGGGHHHH GRRRRRRRRR !! :P

I hate doing black but I have to admit that it's the only saviour when you have those moments of 'I-don't-have-anything-to-wear'. I have to get myself a pair of those shoes, they are gorgeous. They had a similar style in Zara but I wasn't sure if I can really carry it off. Your poses as always are super sexy. One word for you - smokin'!

Oh, don't worry, doll. You're absolutely not the only person who faces that " I don't have anything to wear" moments!

With that said, you look absolutely elegant and statesque in this outfit! Truly just like a mermaid! I"m in love with the purple accents you added to it too:)

I hate the moment when the preplanned outfits just wont do....been there!

What you spontaneously put together is stunning and I absolutely LOVE your make up. That color palette looks beautiful on you.

All black to me is like comfort food. Like eating PB&J or macaroni and cheese, sometimes nothing eles will do.

p.s. as to whats going on in the sky, Mercury is retrograde :)
