Spring Spring... Hello?

"Hello... this is winter. I just called to say... goodbye."
"About bloomin' time."

Us southern hemisphereans are rejoicing but how do my northern hemisphere friends feel about the change in seasons?
Are you looking forward to Autumn?  Winter?  Still enjoying Summer?

More pics and stuff [technical term] after the jump...

Okay...this is a very different post for me... I only ever post photographs of what I wear NOT what I will wear or might wear or would wear.  I don't dress for my blog.  My blog exists because of the way I dress.
...but this dress is not what I wore today...well, I did wear it obviously, but not 'out'.  I was in yoga gear most of the day.  I broke my code.  Sort of.

At the start of every season I 'transfer' my wardrobe... for the first few weeks, it's in 'transit', [eg. winter in to spring, there's still a few cool weeks ahead but I pack away all my heavy winter gear and make heaps of space for all my spring and summer wear!  I love winter layers but they sure as hell take up a lot of space.]
Whilst I was doing this I decided to dig out my vintage dresses, seeing as I was feeling a vintage vibe this week plus I have decided to list some on eBay (maybe!)... found this delightful dress that my mum bought for me from a vintage store in LA in 1992 and seeing as I hadn't worn it for a long while (see last pic), I thought I would sell it so I put it on to photograph it.

Then I didn't bother taking it off until I had to go to yoga!!... and seeing as it was such a delightful day and the first day of Spring, etc, etc, I put on some lipstick, earrings and shoes and... I broke my code... sort of... I was already wearing the dress... and I fully intend to wear it somewhere soon again!

This photo was taken in 1997... last time I wore this dress!  It was a retro themed night.
This is one of my old bands (our band leader in the white tie), a great bunch of musicians.

This picture needs to be in a fashion spread for Vogue! Ah winter, Bombay has no climate, it has hot, less hot and rain. I love the rains, but winter will be fun to have around!

Strange, I just wrote a little post how I do NOT look forward to winter... But apart from that - you look like a beautiful spring flower, Dusk. I know you're a fierce woman, but you do pretty very well too! (and what a great dress!!)

Wow, you look gorgeous.

It's still summer here in the San Francisco Bay Area. We get an indian summer here, so September & October tend to be our hottest months. I'm happy as long as it doesn't snow. I don't do galoshes. ;)

What glorious pics... I did some in front of camellias lately too but they are just embarrassing compared with these!! By the way, it may be spring in Sydney but Melbourne is yet to come out of the cold... it makes attending fashion week things a real challenge!

This post is simply perfect, one of my favourites! The colour, the flowers, the poses, you look like spring yourself and 1977 and 2010, could you try and look older? It makes me very jealous ;)

When you get tired of this dress, can I have it please??? It's soooo sensual, feminine, and pretty! And pink! My favorite color! The scattered flowers, gold shoes, and flowy skirt ... such a gorgeous combination. And I dare say you are even more stunning now than you were in 1997 :)

I was about to ask you what you meant by "delightful Spring day", and then I remembered you live in Sydney. You guys are probably actually noticing the difference between Winter and Spring already. Us Melbournians are in some weird transition phase, encompassing Spring humidity with Winter rain and wind. What the hell is with this state? Gotta love it though... ;)

Gorgeous dress! You look so elegant and graceful...and the flowers in the background are just the icing on top of the beautiful cake.

p.s.re: your comment, aww you always say such sweet things. :) haha yes the knives seem a little over the top, but maybe it makes it easier who knows? Pulling a knife out of one of those knife holder things can be menacing enough, in itself, as well...
