Another one is I love getting older. I am 41. And I LOVE it!
...and I gotta tell ya folks, I'm not one of those that worships youth. At least not the superficial reasons... although dammit, I am making those groaning noises when I bend down or get up...
I was young once, Great. We're all young once. And unless you're from Planet Rebirth where you're born old and die young... we ALL get older. And as far as I'm concerned... BETTER. Getting silver hair (metaphorically) is when, I believe, we get the gold medal..
...and by the way... I intend to age disgracefully if disgracefully means I refuse to conform to bullshit (whoops. sorry) bull***t notions of how a woman my age and getting older should act. Let wine and cheese mature. I intend to go out kicking.
As do the FABULOUS women highlighted in this post by Citizen Rosebud.

Ooh I cannot WAIT to meet you in the FLESH - I am gonna squeeze you and pinch you and adore you just as much as any platonic and completely appropriate friend can to another.
You are so divine and I am with you all the way - let's make up our own rules about this aging businss - or better still, fuck it, let's not waste time with rules - let's just continue to be fabulous! You are leading the way exquisitely!

how you feel about your age is so relative. Nice to see a celebratory post

Go Girl Go.
I would say "you just get better with age" but that would be an assumption since I didn't know you when you were young! :P
Also I need to find new ways of saying "you are incredible" because that's all that pops into my head when I see your pictures/read your posts. That skirt. That gold chain. That lipstick... spectacular!

This outfit is so fabulous! And love your positive outlook! It is so refreshing to hear your views on getting older and I'm with you all the way on not conforming to silly outdated ideas of how you should be acting as a woman when you reach a certain age! xx
Age-Sh.mage! Who cares when you are as fabulous as Dusk! You Rock Lady!!! Love the pictures :o)
You give me goosebumps, guapa. Thanks for the shoutout and for being such an inspiration about celebrating ourselves no matter the age bracket!
Our Dusk is a timeless beauty and there can never be any arguement on THAT!!!!
I was busy peering at your beautiful pic's, into those gleaming eyes..I just love that shade your eyes are shining in these photos. I want to believe those are REAL and not lens..???
Salutes to the dusky diva..
:D
This is such a beautiful post and, quite frankly, I'm a bit starstruck by both your beauty and spirit (and style!). There is no age limit on being fabulous and it's always inspiring to see women embracing who they are and where they are in life's journey. Keep being amazing! And also, that blue nail polish...there are no words.
I think women above the age of 35 are where it's at - do we really come into our own before then? I feel like I really became more confident past that age and I noticed that other women tended to be less "catty" after 35. Perhaps I just chose better friends! Anyway - all of you are gorgeous and confident!!
You deserve the Link Love!
