5 Day Weekend

Wow we had a looooong weekend.  Easter and ANZAC Day.
...a bit ready for the week.  TGI...WTF??  Thank God it's Wed Thurs Fri!

Easter is traditionally time for the weather to say "hmm, looks like people will want to enjoy the Great Outdoors...what can I do?  Oh yeah.  I'll rain all weekend."  Sigh.
Regardless, staying indoors drives us [old ones. the kids are happy to stay in bed watching movies all day] batty so we need to be out and about.  Also had an intense, energy filled Flamenco class and it was oh so wonderful to be there.

Hope you all had a good weekend.  What did you do?

Also... I haven't done 'location' shoots for ages!  My tripod is already set up in my 'studio' (aka spare room)so it's just much easier to do my 'white wall' shots at home.
Tell me... are my 'white wall' images getting boring?  The thing with 'white wall' shots is that...that's it, it's just you.  You can't rely on 'props'.  It's just you and the dream machine, creating a story... or something like that.

MORE PICS & A FEW WORDS, AFTER JUMP!

Can you see the rain?

For the below day ('poncho rainbow')...am dressed a bit, hmmm... bag lady, albeit glam bag lady, a bit like that Rachel Zoe stick person. Maybe not.  Don't know really.  her name was the first that came to mind when I thought of glam bag ladies.
Anyyywayyy... didn't dress with the intention of photographing self, not that I do anyway, I dress the way I dress because that's the way I dress.  Got that?  Great.  Now can you explain that to me?  What I mean is that I didn't take my tripod because I wasn't expecting to take pics.  Plus I was dressed a bit baglady-ish
...my husband took the 'poncho rainbow' pics.

Sorry about all of the rain. I know it sucks!

Fortunately, it was near 90 and sunny all weekend for us in Atlanta. But then that meant spending time indoors anyway. So it was movies, shopping, etc...indoors.

btw, I love all of your photos. Whether it's a white background or someplace else.

Ah! I was actually ACTUALLY missing your outdoor shots. Was even thinking about it.
Is this poncho the same that you once wore as a skirt? Or was that different?
Recently I discovered another very beautiful blog- awesome pictures. Check it

Is it too inappropriate to mention other blog in the comment section? But I like her pictures so much, I just had to mention them to you.

Oh flamenco girl, I hope you're planning to perform for an audience as I can see what an elegant dancer you are. Look at those graceful poses and the swirly skirt shot - just glorious!. I just love to see you - whether it's in front of a white wall or outside, you look so alive and brimming with energy!!! xoxoxo

You could take your pics in the loo and I wouldn't mind. You are so beautiful and creative and inspirational that I am honestly not terribly interested in your location - I am more about your expression, your lines, your style and movement and the twinkle in your eye!

Having said that, these location shots are lovely - is that the Chinese garden at Darling Harbour, darling?

Wasn't it a funny old easter this year?

I for one am NOT tired of your white wall, but these outdoor shots are very nice. I love the one where your skirt is flipped up. You hold your body like a dancer.

What gorgeous photos! And I love your multi coloured outfit. As always you look super stunning! Hope you had a wonderful Easter - I spent my five day weekend intensively flamenco-ing too, attending a five day course. Wonderful, but exhausting!

Hey Dusk,
I come to your blog to see you- and you alone are colorful and joy alone. However, I love the outdoor shots too- especially the scenery ones, like that awesome blue tree- I think where you live is absolutely beautiful and I'd love to visit Australia someday. It's an amazing place- thank you for sharing bits and pieces with it. You look lovely.
P.S Did you get a haircut? it suits you! Loveee it.
