Zebravado...

The name "zebra" comes from the Old Portuguese word zevra which means "wild ass". And that's pretty much what I'm being here... J
...the bravado wordplay refers to the pic after the jump...

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IMAGE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR WORK

...just in case you fall over in fits of laughter due to my zebravado [aka wild ass stupidity!!].
I thought I could pull this off, only had 10 seconds timer to prepare then a 3 frame burst... in my mind's eye, it was supposed to be an elegant rise from this to straight legs.

In reality I went from this straight in to head over heels pain!!! Hence why there isn't a better, less ungainly photo!
I suppose I didn't have to post this pic but... I was in fits of laughter lying there sprawled on my back so, you know... had to share! Please note, this isn't a compliment fishing trip... I should have been able to do this but I get a bit 'heady' about my physical prowess sometimes and that's when it bites me on the ass!!
To top it off, I had my mother-in-law's birthday party at home and our Bikram Yogi party before that (Bikram Yogis are hot!! J) so no time to feel sorry for myself!!  Anyway, I guess it's not that funny, you had to be there...then it would have been freakin' hysterical!!

Wow that last picture is awesome. The bests pics always turn out when you take risks...!

and thanks for you kind comment... I was never a model myself, but Meggasus was signed with Marilyn in NYC for nearly 2 years and recently decided to go back to school. That is partially why we started the blog... so she could still stay connected within the fashion world and so we could have a place where we could both express ourselves creatively!

Now, how about yourself? were you ever a model? I know Ive said this before but you seriously have such an amazing face and my inner model scout would have definitely wanted to recruit you. lol

That's why I love looking at real people's blogs... it's so real and true. You wouldn't find that image in magazine editorials. It's priceless. And I admire you for posting that pic and making fun of yourself... that's the measure of sweet confidence. Cheers to you my friend!

I'm a zebra did you know that! lol, I am obsessed with them for some reason, I can't get enough! You look lovely doll!
p.s. I agree that perfume doesn't stick as you age for some reason. You have to find really good ones with exquisite ingredients. And vanilla is one of my favs! xoxo

Hola darlings!!

Thank you for your wonderful comments and don't worry... twas my ego that was most hurt!!!

It should have been extremely easy for me to go from this position to straight legs (holding this position distributes body weight evenly) but... as soon as I started straightening my legs, I just went straight over!
That's what happens when you rush something like this when you haven't 'prepped'! I was already thinking of what a great photo it would be, how fab I am to be able to do it, and honestly speaking I suppose I may have thought, just may have... just a little... a teeny weeny bit... of the compliments I would receive...and BAM!

Another one bites the Dusk!!!!!!
...it was just really funny and humbling. But I wasn't going to try again!!

Lesson learned. Powers should only be used for good. NOT for kudos...

:)

@ Sonali hon - hahaha!! I wish! I know the scene, love the CA movies! That forest edges our backyard... I just jump over the fence and I'm in it. Our backyard is a bit more of a 'cultivated jungle'!

@ Katie-Lu - hello gorgeous, I knew it, you obviously didn't want to model? You're both so ethereally gorgeous and after seeing the video I can see the differences.
...I was a model in my teens and twenties, a looooong time ago!

@ Tanvi luv - you like my Bikram pun huh?? :)

Thank you again for your awesome, generous comments... ♥

LOL. I love this playful post, not too keen on zebra but I love the trousers. it's a nice contrast against the emerald green of the grass, leaves. Your face is exquisite and I adore that red lip-colour, too;-)
